about

Drawing my inspiration from 'The Four Zoas' and other mythological writings of the great William Blake—'Night Moon' is a telling of the complex interplay of seemingly opposing forces within and without us all. As my testament to the constant endeavour of all things to achieve homeostasis, it is a sonic embodiment of the opposing and yet harmonious forces that comprise and encompass our human nature. Together these elements form the consistent whole of every being and act as a microcosmic reflection of every universal force in and of itself. Each of these forces—and all things in existence—are constantly seeking a state of perfect balance.

lyrics

I’ve brought the thief to the house of the just
I’ve taught the morning to a pale artifice

My son’s a pestilence that’s burning at noon
Vapour in the death of the night moon

The night moon
The night moon
The night moon
The night moon

To speak the laws of prudence
To keep the wolves at bay
To hear the dog howl at the wintry door
Oh take me back to days of holy vellichor

I’ve brought the thief to the house of the just
I’ve taught the morning to a pale artifice

My son’s a pestilence that’s burning at noon
Vapour in the death of the night moon

The night moon
The night moon
The night moon
The night moon

Oh mental flames redeemed
Valla’s in the shadows of the leaves upon the tree
Oh mental flames redeemed
Valla’s in the shadows of the leaves upon the tree

I’ve brought the thief to the house of the just
I’ve taught the morning to a pale artifice

My son’s a pestilence that’s burning at noon
Vapour in the death of the night moon

I’ve brought the thief to the house of the just
I’ve taught the morning to a pale artifice

My son’s a pestilence that’s burning at noon
Vapour in the death of the night moon
